Trip cost splitter: who owes whom
Add everyone on the trip and what each person has paid so far: the rental, the groceries, the gas. It works out each person's fair share to the cent and the fewest payments to settle up, then prints a sheet for the group chat. Free, no sign-up, and nothing leaves your browser.

2. Who's going and what they paid
One row per person. Put 0 for anyone who has not paid anything yet. The sample names are there to show how it works: change them.

Splitting more than one bill?
This tool settles one even split. The planners track every cost on the trip, who it was for and who paid, and keep a running total of who owes whom.

Trip splitting questions
How do you split trip costs fairly?
Add up everything anyone paid, divide by the number of people, and compare each person's share with what they actually paid. Whoever paid more than their share gets money back; whoever paid less owes the difference.
What happens when the total does not divide evenly?
The splitter works in whole cents. When there are leftover cents, one extra cent goes to each of the first people in your list, so the shares add up to the total exactly and nobody is short.
How does it decide who pays whom?
The person who owes the most pays the person who is owed the most, and that repeats until everyone is square. That keeps the number of payments small.
What if not everyone stayed every night?
This tool splits evenly. If people stayed different nights or skipped some activities, the Vacation Rental Cost Splitter and the Group Trip Planner split each cost by who it was for.
Does it save anything?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing is stored or sent. Print the sheet before you close the page.
